Chicago Diner & Chicago Cubs

Chicago Diner As promised, here's my recap from last night's Chicago Diner vegan feast. Let's just say this, if you're vegetarian or vegan and in or around Chicago, this is a must (even more so if you're not from some place that has lots of veggie friendly restaurants). I had printed off the menu last week to study. I knew I would be a little overwhelmed with so many options. One of each please! We started with their spicy Buffalo style "wings" made from seitan and served with a vegan ranch dressing. I was really leaning towards their Radical Reuben (Corned beef seitan, onions, peppers, sauerkraut, vegan Thousand Island & cheeze, on marbled rye). When Jason heard it was award-winning, he called dibs. Trying Somthing New - Eating Indian In

Sunday Eating In After the architectural tour, we went back to the hotel and showered (again). Neither of us had any desire to go back out. I was even ready to forgo dinner just to stay in. Thankfully, we didn't have to do that. Jason saw an add for Grub Hub that lists places that deliver. I did a quick scroll through and an Indian Restaurant (supposedly) popular for vegetarian dishes jumped out. I never think about ordering Indian to be honest, but went with it. The place was called Reza's . They had a Vegetarian Combo where you could pick 5 items from a list. This was cool because we could try a few different things (we chose: Tabbouli vegetarian shami, Persian salad, Kashkeh Bodemjan, Eggplant steak, String beans). They also had another dish called Vegetarian Feast (Grilled Eggplant, Zucchini, Almond, Raisins, Cranberry and Feta cheese on bed of couscous).
