Friday Follow Up & Laid Back Saturday

Friday Follow Up Last night was a ton of fun. I always enjoy getting to hang out with my sister. We started the evening off with a happy hour at Big Whiskey's then back to the house for homemade pizza and wine. I had pre-made my usual Wheat Pizza Dough Thursday evening, but we did end up having a friend of Jason's stop by. So, I dug out an old recipe I had on hand for a super quick Whole-Wheat and Honey Dough . This one does not really rise, it's a much flatter, crispier type of crust. But it really works in a pinch. Tim was super nice and brought over some wine to share. It went perfect with the pizza, which no one complained about! One was made up Greek style with sundried tomatoes, kalamata olives, spinach, artichokes, banana pepper rings, roasted red bell peppers, and feta. For the other pizza, half was made with vegetarian pepperoni, sauteed green bell peppers, onions, and garlic. The other half had sauteed squash, green and red bell peppers, and onions. There was no...

Fabulous Friday, Follow Friday

Free Time Friday Today was a rest day for me in regards to a workout. I am still a little sore from weights on Wednesday, then doing step yesterday sort of put my legs over the top. I  typically set up Friday as my schedule rest day anyway. It's like a little treat to myself: week over and a little free time. So what did I do with the free time? Why shopping of course. I won't brag too much, but I did find some great bargains! Besides, I think that there was some consensus a while back that shopping is indeed a form of cardio. So, in a way, I did still workout. Right? ;-) Pizza Friday Dinner was the typical homemade pizza . While I blogged, Jason made the Cheeseless Queso with a few tweaks. He wanted to try to make it more like a white cheese dip. Tomorrow I'll post his version. While snacking on the cheeselsess queso, we played pool  and let the bread machine do the manual labor for the pizza. We didn't do anything super exciting for the pizza toppings. I'm ...

Fatigued on Friday

Claritin D is not my sandman. I felt so exhausted and was sound asleep by 9:15 last night, but then I was wide awake by 12:15. I tossed, I turned, I peeked at the time. I finally stopped looking at the clock around 3:30, and I got out of bed at 5:15. I decided that there was no point in pretending and that I could at least be productive. This is not typical for me as I am not a morning person, but I did my cardio and abs workout before work. I really wish I could do that more often, as I feel like I have more free time after work with my workout already complete. I think the most I have managed is three days of early workouts, then it's back to the evening workouts. I had originally intended on going home during lunch and trying Shock Cardio Step Moves . However, since I was working out groggily at 5:15 this morning, I opted for a tried and true workout ( Step Blast ). I didn't think that trying to learn a new step workout would be safe at that point. I may try it tomorrow af...
