11 Miles & Tailgating

On Your Left 11 This morning I ended up waking up earlier than I thought I would. I really wanted to try to sleep in, you know, past 7 am. But, I didn't. And that's ok because we had a full day ahead with lots that needed to get done in the morning. I had my route planned out better this time, so I didn't just have to guess distance based on time. When I set out for the run, it was in the low 60's, light breeze, and blue skies. Just gorgeous. I felt great getting started, settled into a nice pace pretty quickly. I was smiling and just enjoying the morning. What I didn't realize was that there was a bike ride for Multiple Sclerosis ( Bike MS ) going on so I heard, "on your left," and then a group of cyclists whizzed past me. Cool, I waved and let them know I heard them and all that jazz. Then again, "on your left." Another wave. Yep, got it. I'm over to the right as far as I can go. Weights, Boxing, Tailgating on a Gorgeous Saturday

Weights & Boxing This morning I got up and did Cathe Friedrich's STS Meso 1 Disc 2 - Back and Triceps. I also did her MMA Boxing DVD after the weights. I was very disappointed to not be able to run as it turned out to be a gorgeous day. For the chinups and pullups, I had to use resistance tubing as I do not have a pullup option at home. Friday Follow Up In case anyone was curious, yes, we did indeed enjoy another Pizza and Pool Friday. We're so predictable. It's fun though, so why change that? We also watched The Lost Boys. Believe it or not, I had never seen the movie. That came up in conversation last weekend, so Jason quickly added it to Netflix. I really wish I had seen it back in the day, because now it's a bit cheesy. But back then? I'm sure it rocked. Chest and Wet Run This morning it was dark and rainy again. What is up with this rain all of the sudden? Jason and I were planning to run today on the river trails. I decided to go ahead and get my chest work done and hope that the rain cleared out in the meantime. I did a set of pushups followed by a superset of 3x8.
