Fun Facts Friday - Totally Random & Fashion

I just want to say a very heartfelt thank you to all of you after yesterday's post. Your comments, support, friendship, inspiration means so much more than you can know. Thank you. And I do still hope you all come up with a list of things you like about yourself. I'd love to read them!

Since yesterday's post was pretty heavy, I thought I'd keep today's post really light. It is Fun Facts Friday after all right? I don't really have a theme, just totally off-the-wall random facts about me.
  • I strategically plan my last bite of oatmeal. You have to have that perfect combo of fruit, peanut butter, oats for that last bite right?
  • I hate hate hate needles but want another tattoo. Crazy right?
  • I used to hate wine - what the hell was I thinking???
  • I could care less about chocolate, cakes, cupcakes. Give me a cookie though and I'm set.
  • I hate Ferris Wheels.
  • Tailgaters make me irrationally angry.
  • I'm always afraid I'm going to trip getting on and off escalators.
  • I could spend a fortune (not even a small one) at Sephora. Love Bare Escentuals and Korres and the OPI for Sephora nail polish. Definitely a girly girl.
  • Today I sported the outfit I posted last week:
Top & cardigan - The Limited
Jeans - Always Skinny from The Gap
Shoes - Max Studio found at TJ Maxx
Bracelet - Charming Charlie's

Your turn - tell me something totally random about yourself! The weirder, the better ;-)

Daily To-Enjoy List:
  • Rest day
  • Warm temps (still)
  • The fact that it's Friday
  • Going to the Little Rock Marathon Expo (I am still signed up after all)

Let's Have Coffee

If you're a regular blog reader, I'm sure you've seen similar posts, scenarios if you will, about what we might chat about or what I might say if we sat down and had coffee together. I think these can be fun. Maybe fun isn't the right word choice exactly. But maybe it is? They're transparent, showing who the blogger really is ... if they're being honest of course. It's not often you truly get to sit down with the person behind the blog. Banana Nut Biscotti with Banana Glaze If we were to have coffee together ... I would first let you know that I'm not a super fan of coffee. I drink mine with hot cocoa and it's mostly out of habit rather than the need for caffeine. I could forgo it on the weekends entirely. Since we're talking coffee, I would also let you know that I've never ordered coffee from Starbucks and only once from a true coffee shop. I've only been into 2 Starbucks shops - the original in Seattle and one in town wher...

I Run to Feel Alive

Today is National Running Day . Guess what I did this morning? Cycling? Nope. Lifting? Nope. I bet you thought kickboxing right? Nope. Running? But of course! I actually sort of planned my running days this week just so I could participate this year. I didn't get to run last year and didn't even know about it the year before. But running has become such an integral part of my life and who I am, that I couldn't miss this year. Basically, I run to feel alive . It calms me, it helps me work through life, it's often a reason to get out of bed. No matter how tough a run is, it makes you feel ... period. My plan was to get in 5 miles (got in 5.5 actually). It was about 10 degrees warmer this morning and definitely more humid. That always makes for a tougher run. We decided to take a different route today. Well, it was really only a few streets over different, but still. The point is we took a different street. Sometimes that's good, sometimes not. I did realize th...
